Swing therapy

This works with trampolines and high slides too. For the last year or so I have been overriding my unhelpful reliance on my controlling left brain. The part of me that likes to stick to time limits no matter what, finds it hard to compromise to anyone else's ideas, wants to exercise blind authority over the kids, has a stuck idea about the future and our choices as a family.

By getting on a swing when we are at the park and going as high as I can releases this controlling nature. It makes my stomach jump initially, and a fear rises, sometimes to tears as I surrender to the force of the swinging motion, falling through the air, letting my Trust kick in and take over. Trampolines are even more full on for this - especially ones without the guard!

I have come to really value this 'therapy' for myself: helping me to integrate the Trust and Surrender law into my everyday life. Try it :)
