Firm footing

At breakneck speeds I catapulted forwards through qualification after qualification. Sullen, confused but ultimately quite good at it ~ I kept going. There were a few major stumbles as I neared the top of my mountain as the skills of academic achievement began to mingle with the professional world. Where the theories I was so learned at repeating, translating, regurgitating, peeped out into the world of Being and engaging with others!

I saved myself from this clash and confusion by stumbling coherently into my life partner and made swift plans for children. It was a relief to me to indulge in babies, a gift to myself much longed for.

This was when my journey began really ~ the bit where I made my own decisions. Or the time when the consequences of my decisions really strengthened up. I naturally became bolder at each turn of the path, building from my foundations upwards.

Through early marriage, breech births (see my celebration blog) and young motherhood, I became more a me I recognise. And here I am, 34, embarking on a new career from the beginning, safe in the understanding that it has presented itself through the beauties of synchronicity. I am not making it happen, it is happening. I'm not doing it for anybody, it just simply is. I can look back and see how I learned and enjoyed a lot of the journey, gruelled through major parts and only recently found firm footing.

I'm unsure of the benefits of heavy academic schooling at all (see my unschooling blog) ~ and luckily I was someone who could at least keep afloat in those 18 years of brain training. It took big life events for me to reconnect with the rest of me ~ and the wondrous parts of my whole, outside of the left-brain rote learner. My creativity, sensuality, juiciness :) my anger (is OK!), my struggles are integral to my dreaming, the journey goes on.
