Whilst there's a distant dream and recognition that one day i'll be
writing in greater length, for now this is a forum for my evolving
take on the world. A window through which I express how life on Earth
is for me.
I can get stuck if I imagine an audience - in fact a lot of my
self-development work ics been about eradicating this self-projected
audience! I found that looking at myself through the lenses of my
fears and doubts kept me in a voiceless holding bay assuming myself
unworthy of public discourse.
And so its really helped me to know there is a handful of friends who
pop in on my blogs - I am exercising my voice, trying things out,
developing confidence and exploring the territory of words, share and
purpose to writing. Learning to be honest in a way that isn't
over-the-top or raw and exposing my vulnerabilities (although some
exposure is I hope what makes these blogs honest and authentic).
What makes a writer, a writer? I've spent most of my life (through
academia I guess) imagining that a writer is someone with something
Important to say. But no, I'm seeing that a writer is someone who
loves to write - who can't help themselves but write, who dream about
stationary, who are instantly shifting something inside themselves
when they put pen to paper.
Which may make us all writers - bring it on! Let's share our innermost
realms, lets dispel the holders of Important texts by flooding our
literary banks with heartfelt explosion of expression. For anyone who
has felt held back by assuming there needs to be validity, weight,
back-up for one's thoughts to be able to share them more widely, may
there be reassurance that we're all in this together.
May i come across more of these writings - selections from fellow
humans' conscious and unconscious minds. May our collective wisdom be
further unearthed by confident wurblings!
