Delectable delights

Sizzling on the flattest pan imaginable is a delectable crepe. Anticipation of honey, butter, the warm liquid gold of comfort means I am unlikely to sit down to savour this treat. Food, whilst being one of my favourite things is often not around long enough for me to connect with. In my mind I am a guzzler. You see, this sounds good to me this crepe, all talk of golden and sizzling and melting, but really you know my tummy wouldn't like it, it'd go down hard as nails, hit my belly, I'd feel exhausted and regretful, long for another and yet enter a tussle with the reality that my energy levels dip with the weight of sweetness.

Treacle, now there's some weighty sweetness! A tired day of wading through it in the fog of family life, picking up toys, clothes, projects, wool, lego, did I mention lego?

Black and baked, the kicking ks done in, finished, complete. No good asking them anything! Though the warmth would have been welcome in this late February freeze, the energy's been knocked out of these fellas.

And a good pinch is what I've needed today!
A loving pinch, a jovial pinch, a tickle-in-the-ribs pinch. I offer it to myself now as I sign off replete, safe in the knowledge I will find my sweetness, my joy, my abundance and so my friend, will you.
